About Roseann Meserve

A Doverite: native, a New Hampshire Artist. I have always been involved learning some form of craft. I started at a young age doodling and then coloring in the picture I would find in the abstract doodles. In the early teens I progressed to piano, chorus, band and of course the popular medium, paint by numbers. Through out the years I have taught myself to knit, crochet, needlepoint, cross-stitch, left-handed dried flower arranging. I received an Associates Degree in Accounting from McIntosh College in 1978, a Batchelor in Professional Studies: Cum Laude; Major: Behavioral Science from CLL in 1995 In 1995 I started my watercolor adventure with Trish Friedman in Dover until she moved to NY State. Also in the Fall of 1995 I began to pursue formal CLL art courses with Wendy Turner and Dorine Gross�s Introduction to Drawing, Introduction to Watercolor Painting I & II (twice), Art by the Sea; Advanced Watercolor III During the same time period I attended UNH DCE Classes each Spring & Fall with Portsmouth Watercolorist Dan Britt, Carol Morley,Dover NH, Dewitt Hardy, Sanctuary Arts Eliot Me.. I have attended weeklong workshops with Don Andrews, Jan Kilburn in Damariscotta, Maine, Dustin Knight, New Castle NH & for several years was able to paint on Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine with Doris Rice and Jan Kilburn. Presently I try to attend weekly classes with Watercolorist Doris Rice of Hampton at the Seacoast Art Association, monthly classes in Dover and Ocean Park Me with Jan Kilburn, take workshops with Dustin Knight and paint with friends on Wednesday evenings. For 20 years I have successfully sold my small watercolor paintings locally at �Just the Thing� in downtown Dover Great Hill Maples Sugar Shack, Newmarket NH.; former Portsmouth Art Exchange, 220 State St. Portsmouth, NH.. former Lucy�s Art Emporium, Dover, Just Us Chickens on State Rd Kittery Me, 207 Route 1 York Me ; Good JuJu Main St Newmarket NH. & at local Fairs & Festivals. My work has been exhibited with Great Bay Art Assoc, York Art Association, Seacoast Art Association.
